Paul Barrow, Honorary Secretary
Passionate Saints fan, part-time Evertonian, proud father, bon viveur, fisherman, shooter and all round good egg: not a bad starting point for the job of Honorary Secretary of Liverpool’s most exclusive business club. And that’s not forgeting Paul’s day job as partner in Quinn Barrow, the boutique commercial law practice on Stanley Street, where he advises some of the city’s leading lights.

Martyn Best, Treasurer
A fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants in England & Wales, Martyn’s financial acumen made his appointment as treasurer a bit of a shoe-in. Thankfully, he’s a better accountant than he is fly fisherman but ours is a broad church so we don’t worry about such things. Martyn is an investor-director in PR agency Paver Smith and in Liverpool’s largest independent wine merchant, The Purple Wine Company, as well as an Everton season ticket holder.

Dougal Paver, Membership Secretary
Dougal got the fly fishing bug early, not that longevity has added markedly either to his success rate or skill, but God loves a tryer. If he’s not on a river bank he’s shooting, walking up large mountains or cheering the blues at Goodison. As MD of Liverpool’s largest PR agency, Paver Smith, he also has a season ticket at Piccolino and a portfolio of shares in Arthur Guinness & Co.
